About Our Program
It is the mission of the Nordhoff Soccer Program to provide student-athletes with an opportunity to compete successfully in a high school program that is an integral part of their educational experience. This experience will provide opportunities for student-athletes to develop leadership potential and skills through individual instruction, peer interaction, and competition.

We expect our student-athletes to respect themselves and others, and to demonstrate loyalty, honesty, and school pride. Rangers put their team before themselves. They handle failure as they handle success. Rangers have a strong work ethic and are prepared on and off the field.

Systematic Coaching Approach

Starting in JV and into Varsity, coaches employ similar coaching methods and tactics to fully develop our program. This will help us properly condition our athletes, build specific skills, and develop tactical awareness through the program.

Pre-Season Conditioning & Skill Building

Utilizing resources available to us at Nordhoff (fields, fitness center, and track) we have developed a conditioning program that includes strength training, aerobic and anaerobic drills, and a fitness program meant to minimize risk of injury, especially knee and ankle injuries.

In-Season Conditioning, Skill Building, and Tactics

Our goal during the season is to stay sharp. Conditioning will move to a maintenance approach so we can keep our edge. More emphasis will be placed on individual and team tactics and less on individual skills development.

Post Season

Our post season program is aimed at students who would like to continue working on conditioning, strength training, and soccer skills in the off season.
